Review on Derwent Inktense Ink Blocks, 24 Count - Vibrant Colors for Stunning Artwork (Model: 2300443) by Joshua Gulledge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Versatile, bright, durable!

I just love these little pigment spots. I've chipped off the bits stuck in the watercolor halves and use them like watercolor paints - just once dry they don't move, blend, rise or disappear! I've been experimenting with color blending and have three solid base color palettes - cool, warm and earthy (the specific ones I use are listed below). Ideal for hiking and studio. I use them in the field and to keep a nature journal because before I used to keep spilling, dripping, getting in the rain etc and ruining the watercolor. it is a glow from below. You can paint, draw, sand and sprinkle with it. Along with Inktense pens for finer detail, they're one of the most versatile and dependable art supplies I own. Just two small flaws. A little light on the choice of yellows (I love yellows) and they're quite loose at times. Highly recommended! Here's what I have in my 24 color travel watercolor palette (I use Medeen) Cool Primary Triad: Sunshine Yellow, Iris Blue, Poppy Red, Warm Primary Triad: Golden Yellow, Sea Blue, Cherry Earth Primary Triad: Mustard, Red Oxide, Blue Ironhook Green, Green Leaf, Lemon Sorbet, Sepia Ink , Chinese ink, burnt orange.
