Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Overall, very good glass. Before that I used 400 mm 5.6 L, they are almost identical in sharpness. In my subjective opinion, I didn’t make direct comparisons, the fix resolves the details a little better, but due to the lack of a stabilizer from the fix, it’s more difficult to get a sharp picture, purely physically, from the hands. I took this lens precisely because of the stabilizer and compact size.

Pros

1. Sharpness. Across the entire field of the frame at all focal lengths. At the far end, it drops a little, it’s not noticeable on the full frame, but on APS-C it has a place to be. 2. The contrast is excellent. 3. The stabilizer is very good, 4 stops work out confidently. 3 stabilization modes. 4. 0.98 MDF is just gorgeous. 5. HA are practically absent, although in modern editors they are corrected without problems, but nice. 6. Excellent thoughtful design and ergonomics. 7. Excellent fast auto focus motor, most importantly accurate, almost never misses with my carcass. 8. Size.

Cons

1. Price. 2. Vacuum cleaner unfortunately. After six months of use, dust particles appeared on the front lens from the inside. 3. In my copy there is a backlash of the manual focus ring. 4. Heavy. 5. Vignetting. Not a problem, but there is a place to be.
