Review on IRIS Portable Expandable Gate White by Kelli Grossi

Easy to use, not built to last

I bought this gate to keep our baby out of the bathroom. The bathroom doorway is quite narrow (24 inches is an old house) so finding a small enough gate was difficult. A tag just isn't the best option. Right out of the box there was an obvious problem with the gate. The non-slip rubber feet on the sides were missing. There was a circle where the legs should have been. was, but it was only plastic. This made it relatively easy to remove the gate. I solved this problem by using hot glue where the rubber should have been. After some time the color is on the skin. It's okay, I can fix it later, but at least our kid can't get the gate down. The big problem is the plastic internals. Doesn't last long. The handle concept is great. This gate is much easier to install than traditional baby gates. But after a few months of daily use, the handle broke off completely (see photo). This renders the gate unusable. I wasn't expecting top quality for the price, but I expected it to last longer than it is.
