Solid wires that look like they are very strong, excellent quality wires. I used it to connect my 7.1 A/V speaker system with banana plugs on both ends. The wires are stripped very cleanly and I have a great grip on the banana plugs. The sound from my Maranz 7013 is great. You can't go wrong with this wire.
