Review on 🏎️ EBC Brakes DP21610 Greenstuff 2000 Series Sport Brake Pad – Enhanced Performance for Sports Enthusiasts by Dominic Kimbro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great pads, better than OEM

I bought these for the front brakes on an Acura TSX 08 and after two months they are holding up very well. When you open the box you can tell they are well made and EBC separates each one in the box to avoid chipping. I've paired them with EBC USR 7807 slotted rotors and it's a great combination. The dust is on par with the OEM brakes, although maybe a little more. OEM pads may have less dust, but this often comes with a compromise in stopping power, and since new wheels are polished and more visible than older steel wheels, a person may complain about too much dust for fear that something is wrong , but not 10. Feet drop with reduced braking power. I don't mind a little dust because the last wears out and washes out easily. creaks. They also have a great built in gasket that looks like a steel plate covered in silicone. It took them a little while to really break in, maybe 750 miles, but I just relax for the first two weeks. Installation was easy but the pads don't cover the entire pad like the original pads I pulled out and there is an extra inner pad that came loose from the car. Since the backplate is almost identical to the OEM I simply removed the extra spacer and added it to the new pads and had no problems. Finally, another reviewer mentioned the lack of "lubrication". Although in the past I have bought pads with a tiny tube of unknown quality grease, I prefer a high temperature caliper grease such as Permatex 24115 High Temperature Caliper Grease.
