There are a number of comments I would like to make for those who are considering purchasing.

Me Received the scope this morning and after a short assembly I started using it. There are a number of comments I would like to make to those considering purchasing this scope. The model I received has a 26cm x 21cm base for the base. The boom itself has a total length of approx. 53 cm, with approx. 12 cm protruding behind the vertical rod as a counterweight. With the scope head on, measured from the center of the vertical bar to the end of the eyepieces, the scope is approximately 67cm long, the base is very heavy so it cannot tip over. An approximate working distance for "best result" was 8 to 12 cm without the Barlow lens inserted. The optics of my device were very clear. Now for a couple of things that I had in my first impressions about this device: The device came with a completely wrong instruction manual. All the microscopes listed in the manual were of completely different designs. I ended up having to look at several pictures online to complete the build. The next gripe I have is that it came with 1 Allen key. This is fine as one of the bolts will fit, however there are 5 others that can easily be adjusted and these wrenches are not included. Tomorrow I have to go to the hardware store to see if I can find some that can be tightened both on the camera mount and on the eyepieces. Aside from those little quirks, the real microscope looks very well built. . The horizontal bars in my device don't have grooves as others have noted, I'll see how that goes. I measured the top bar and it was 20.00mm. The lower band has some play, but that doesn't seem to affect function. I'm deducting half a star for quality control reasons, mainly for including the wrong manual. The other half of the star is subtracted due to the lack of Allen keys. You will definitely want to buy a Barlow lens with this unit as there is no protective lens on the bottom two lenses, I would also recommend the adjustable LED ring light. .My device also comes with a cheap plastic dust cover.

Pros
  • Trinocular attachment allows simultaneous viewing through the eyepieces and trinocular port, with a pair of 10x ultra widefield eyepieces, adjustable pupillary distance, fixed 45 degree vertical tilt to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360 degree rotation for sharing
Cons
  • Factor Pack
