Review on Spider Tarp Unstretched Adjustable Automotive by Kirt Phillips

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Totally misleading bold description and misleading packaging description

I need to replace a 69 inch elastic. The standard measurement for any elastic cord is its UNSTRETCHED LENGTH. Knowing the actual unstretched length is critical to selecting the correct cable. Neither the bold Revain description nor the Spider packaging state that the unstretched length is about 48 inches, not 70 inches. It is clearly stated that the elastic cords are 70 inches long when not adjusted to 7 inches. The face description in bold uses the word STRETCHED meaning length is 70 inches when stretched. The fact that the word "stretched” finally comes up when scrolling down is irrelevant. I didn't have to read that far when the packed size is 70" before it could be adjusted to 7". Not misleading to be honest. All packaging and basic descriptions should read "70" length when stretched". Both don't talk about that. That means I've spent time and energy thinking that this 70" bungee is the 69" inch bungee (unstretched) How about some truth in the packaging and in the bold descriptions?
