The review is dedicated to the Aveeno Baby Derma Moisturizing baby gel for washing the body and hair. ***REASON FOR PURCHASE*** A couple of months ago I was faced with atopic dermatitis in my baby and this was the reason to find a good bathing product that at least would not dry out already irritated skin. This was the main reason for the purchase, but I will not talk about the fight against atopy now. I initially used this gel for bathing my youngest child, and a little later I tried it as a shampoo for my daughter. This is what today's review will be about, but first things first. *** MAIN DESCRIPTION *** Children's gel for washing the body and hair is in a very convenient and fairly dense bottle, with a volume of 300 ml. I really like the design of this gel, delicate beige-blue shades, very calm and unobtrusive. In general, I don’t really like it when they overdo it with color in such products. Children, as a rule, immediately react to them and the whole bath turns into a game of "reach for the gel." In general, the entire Aveeno series for newborns is made in this design. The bottle is very stable, I always put it on the edge of the bath itself, so that it is more convenient to collect the gel while bathing the child. I really like when there is a pump in such products. Especially when I bathe my 6 month old baby who just recently learned to sit. With one hand I always hold the child, with the other I collect the bathing gel. It still remains a mystery to me why these pumps are absent in many products, especially for the care of newborn children, maybe a third hand grows with the birth of a child?)) The reverse side contains basic information about this gel. In a nutshell, we are promised gentle cleansing of dry and sensitive skin, as well as easy combing of hair. The expiration date is indicated on the bottom of the bottle, it is 3 years. But after opening the gel is stored for 12 months. When I saw that this gel is produced by the well-known brand Johnson and Johnson, I was even upset, somehow I didn’t really like their cosmetics. But as everyone knows that in every company there are both good and bad means, so I decided to take a chance, especially since apart from this fact, everything suited me. ***COMPOUND*** The gel is intended for use from birth, therefore, the requirements for it are higher than for similar products. Let's take a look at the composition of this tool to make sure it's safe. I will not now describe each component, it is meaningless, but I will focus on the main ones. 1. Someone may not like the presence of Acrylate in the composition, but without it the gel itself would not have turned out, I have nothing against this substance. 4. One of the most important components that helps this gel survive in the harsh conditions of our bathrooms is a preservative. But they are also different, and here I see my favorite Sodium Benzoate, it is as harmless as possible. And also phenoxyethanol, I have an ambiguous opinion about it and I can close my eyes to it only because I observe it at the very end of the list and, accordingly, in the minimum dose. To be honest, its proximity to vitamin E in this situation is more embarrassing ... In general, I really like the composition of this gel and I can rate it a solid 4. ***GEL PROPERTIES*** Like all cosmetics designed for sensitive skin, this gel has a rather light fragrance, without any harsh additives. In general, if you have ever dealt with products for atopic skin, then it will be easier for you to understand this fragrance. But in my humble opinion, it's quite enjoyable. The texture is of medium consistency, but closer to liquid. The gel is completely transparent. As I said above, this gel does not have intense foaming, but at the same time you feel it very well when distributed over the skin. If you rub it in your palms, then the foam is not visible at all, but all the sliding properties are present. ***USE AS A BODY GEL*** This gel is advertised as a body and hair wash. First, let's figure out how this gel behaves on the body. I'll try to demonstrate this process on myself) Apply the gel to damp skin and distribute, again paying attention to minimal foaming. If you add a little water, the gel dissolves almost immediately. I really like this property of the gel. First, remember that it is used to wash newborns, which means that the entire gel will be washed off in its own bath. When bathing a son, the water remains almost transparent. Secondly, it greatly facilitates the entire washing process in general, without requiring unnecessary torment. In fact, it is enough to pour clean water over the washed part of the body once and the skin remains clean. What do we get from the use of this gel. It really does not dry the skin, does not cause irritation and allergic reactions. Cleanses the skin well and rinses off easily. Actually, in this capacity, the gel proved to be excellent. ***USING THE HEAD WASH GEL*** Now let's take a look at how this gel handles children's hair. Everything is very simple with the hairs of small children, so I decided to immediately complicate the task and for example I give my daughter’s very "capricious hair”) So what do we have... My daughter has very thin light brown hair from birth, it is very easy to tangle and it is very difficult to comb it after using a regular shampoo. To facilitate this task, I even had to use different sprays and conditioners designed for children. By nature, her hair curls at the ends. They get fat at a normal rate, so unless another incident occurs)), then I wash her head every 2-3 days. We apply shampoo to wet hair, for this, just 1 press of the pump is enough and we get a good foam. For babies up to a year, even less funds are required. There is no abundant foam on the short hairs of the baby, but all the hairs are well lathered. Next comes the process of washing off and I want to note the fact that my daughter never complained that the gel stings her eyes! And this is very important, because a 6-month-old baby would never tell me about this. The shampoo is washed out of the hair very easily and also takes about a minute, in the case of a younger child, it is enough to pour water over the head a couple of times. We take a comb with small teeth and ... voila)) we easily comb the hair to the very ends After the hair is completely dry, it looks smooth and shiny. Feels soft and doesn't tangle. Now I can easily do various hairstyles for my daughter and not spit on eternally intertwined hair. I am more than satisfied with the result, now all hair conditioners will definitely fly into the trash! My daughter loved washing her hair, but for me this is minus another stress)).
