This is one of those things that you might think is pointless, but I assure you it isn't! I have two children who are quite rude with things and often get off remotely. Now there are no buttons. The battery cover no longer holds securely. Maybe it's time to get a new one, but I wanted to try this bumper first. I'm so glad I did. The fit is perfect, the material is thick and strong yet flexible enough to slip on the remote. The cushioning is impressive. After installing it on the remote, the first thing I checked was the battery cover. He's not going anywhere! I also like how bright it glows. Another thing that might seem pointless to you, but wait until you turn everything off to go to bed and realize you didn't pick up the remote. My glow photos don't capture this properly and I didn't have it in the light before taking it. After hitting the light, this thing glows evenly and brightly. Now I can confidently replace my remote control and not worry about it breaking if it falls. I would highly recommend this case and would love to find one for all the other remotes in the house.
