The machine never kept my coffee hot/warm enough for my liking. The problem was that a special type of cup was needed. This special type of cup must have a sufficiently large contact area between the cup and the heating surface. I couldn't find a flat bottomed coffee mug that I usually buy in any of my stores. I think the reason coffee cups have a thin rim at the bottom is so that the heat from the cup doesn't transfer to the surface it's placed on. on the. So I ended up finding the cup with the least "edge" on the bottom and sanding the bottom to create as much surface area as possible. The cups I originally used were very thin; So. I grounded the bottom of the beaker so the bottom of the beaker had a much larger surface area and then with this modification the temperature was kept much higher. The seller responded quickly and promptly to my questions. You just need the right cup to use this device effectively. My next project is to attach a metal floor (i.e. a large washer) with epoxy and see how it works. I bet this will keep the coffee HOT!
