We needed these floating mounts for my sunglasses and my husband's glasses. When kayaking, the wind can be unexpected and losing my husband's goggles would be a very expensive loss. We tested them in a bowl before using them and they really swam. Luckily we didn't have to find out if they swam while kayaking. They worked great for keeping our goggles in the wind. An added bonus is that some of these braces are too short making the fit uncomfortable - they fit just right. I could hang my sunglasses around my neck or wear them on my head.
