Review on McGard 25254 Chrome Tuner Thread by Jorge Kumar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

7 months (1,000 miles) and rusting. The key broke on the second use.

Purchased on April 26, 2017 Installed with a torque wrench to factory specs on my 2016 Infiniti Q50 3.0T AWD. I was going to swap out the wheels for winter wheels and on the second locknut the pattern in the key inside the locknut was cut off. Luckily I was able to delete the template but now I have to wait for a new key from McGard. Interestingly, 3 of the 4 lock nuts also had microcracks at the corners of the template and rusted. This is unacceptable at the age of 7 months. Either Revain sent me a fake or McGard had multiple manufacturing defects in that package. UPDATE: I contacted McGard today (as the key broke over the weekend when their call center was closed) and they decided to send me 2 new keys and 4th new lock nuts free of charge. They even sent me the parts for the night so they should arrive tomorrow. While it was a disappointing experience with the broken wrench and corroded and cracked lug nuts, the customer service experience was surprisingly good.
