Installed on a 1999 Honda Civic Sedan and works great. My plastic hood release had broken and had to use vice grips to pull the release. To install I had to remove the plastic kick panel and use some wire cutters to cut off some of the plastic that was leftover from the broken OEM hood release. I recall I slid on the Billet Aluminum Hood Release and tightened down the allen set screw. I didn’t go too tight as I did not want to strip the aluminum since the cable appears to be galvanized metal. It is small enough to slip through the kick panel when putting everything back together. Part has been working for almost 6 months.
