Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with Logitech S150 USB Speakers - Digital Sound Innovation! by Jeho Odor

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works, too loud (there is a solution)

Pros: Aesthetically looks good. I actually like it as it is a sign that my computer is on. - The sound quality is acceptable. I dare say it's even good. Ideal for watching YouTube videos and the like. However, don't expect to watch movies with him. - Digital audio, meaning you only need a USB connection. - No constant static noise like the previous speaker. - Volume controls are simple and contain everything you need: volume down, mute and volume up. No annoying button to control. - Excellent price. Tip: Use the Windows Sound Enhancers in the sound settings for this device. Without improvements, they don't sound very good. Cons: - You are 2007. So you are 12 years old! - You're too loud. I don't know if it's a problem with my sound drivers or what, but at 1 volume the volume is BOOM. I don't understand the reviews that it's too quiet. It is absolutely NOT too quiet! Solution: Download APO Equalizer. This is a free program that allows you to set the volume lower than what Windows allows. The volume controls only affect Windows audio (makes sense since it's digital), but this causes problems with audio being too loud. It's the same as the volume controls on your keyboard, so in the end it's pointless. They will be recognized as "(USB AUDIO)". Yes it is with spaces. Doesn't look good in the list of sound devices. Other Thoughts: They're pretty good. I only use them for system sounds and the occasional quick YouTube video and they're perfect for that. Too bad they are too loud and need a software solution but that's what you set and forget. To be honest I'm just really glad they don't produce hiss all the time like I've tried from previous speakers to buy.
