We LOVE these lamps! I have three of these units in my RV and with a little ingenuity they work and look fantastic. 3 spare bulbs were in our drawers and needed 120 VAC. They also needed an off-grid switch (there was no wall switch). We are transitioning to LED lights (A/C and D/C) throughout the RV. We use less energy and have significantly improved lighting. I had to be creative to install new lightbulbs. There are no electrical boxes in the drawers and I had to cut a round hole in the ceiling to route the wires and keep the lights working. They provide great light and only protrude a few centimeters from the ceiling. The pull chain is easily accessible. Old lamps had ugly glass bulbs and a knob that had to be turned to work. Old fixtures hung about 6 inches from the ceiling and gave off unwanted heat and dim light. These lights can also easily be screwed into an existing ceiling light.
