Tried them with the Arteza and Prismacolor alternatives. In general both Prisma and Arteza are better for coloring and blending, Prisma is the best and Arteza is the cheaper alternative. The Castle Arts were about the same price as the Arteza pencils but not nearly as good overall. Also, Castle Arts pencils tend to be "finer" and leave more powder on the page that needs to be brushed off when coloring. The packaging looks quite decent, but the metal box started falling apart on the hinges after two openings. So it probably won't be terribly reusable. Overall I'd recommend going with Arteza at the same price or Prismacolor if performance matters most.
