So far so good. About 5 or 6 months ago I bought an Xacto pencil sharpener at a local business supply store. It died and they didn't take it back, they said the manufacturer would take care of it, but I didn't register the sharpener. Who would have thought that you have to register a pencil sharpener? Anyway, I didn't read anything about this pencil sharpener before buying it because I thought it would be a good pencil sharpener since it's not cheap and it's from the Xacto brand. When I went to the Xacto website and read that they recommend not sharpening crayons with it. HMMM. A pencil sharpener that recommends NOT sharpening pencils? I wish I knew this for the first time. SO what brings me to this purchase. Actually, I'm learning this pencil sharpener first. I'm a graphic designer/illustrator and all I needed was a good, reliable pencil sharpener to sharpen any PENCIL! This one had great reviews and doesn't recommend not using it on certain types of pencils. As I said, "So far, so good." Right now it's working on something that it's very well designed for.
