The remote control makes life very difficult for my parents. The functions and the power button are the same as on the remote control. I gave them away and they had one that lasted 10 years and the speakers eventually failed. This new one is disappointing, to say the least. Sounds good, other features work fine. Sometimes the remote control power supply works as it should. Other times it just does the functional part. Hold writes 1+ sec, failed multiple times. It may just be the remote control for that device, but I told them to only use the power on the device, not the remote control.
