Other inserts will not fit the All Clad hob, or at least the ones available in the supermarket will not. I believe the All Clad is rated at 7 liters which according to the normal large liners will fit, but as the bowl portion has handles on the end they will not fit. They work great and I cooked a beef stew in one of them last night. It was strong enough to hold what I was cooking so I could pick it up and put it in a freezer container. Other inserts I've used in my regular slow cooker tend to run into the pot or break. My pitcher looks clean enough that it doesn't need to be washed, but I'll do it anyway. I am very happy with it.
