Love the idea of these locks and the fact that we can have locks for our kitchen cabinets without having to drill holes (we need chemicals, medicines, etc. locked to a foster family), but the key often requires multiple attempts to swipe it through the lock before reading it, which can be frustrating. I thought it might be out of order or defective, I've waited a while to post but I guess sometimes they just hit and miss. Overall, these are great locks and they get the job done, but only most of the time. It may also be helpful to note that our package did not include installation instructions. Luckily we're quite comfortable and it was easy to find out.
