Review on 📻 Texas RW CB Radio Antenna by President Electronics by Meech Elliott

I mounted it on a luggage rack with antenna brackets. The holes for mounting the antenna in the mounts are large, but the Procomm JBC930 Super Extra Heavy Duty 3/8-24 Stud Ham Radio and CB Radio Antenna Mount fits well. I'm sure similar products will hold the antenna as well. This bracket has survived several antennas. so I decided to keep using it. I connected my dainty Midland CB and analog SWR meter to the antenna using a 25ft LMR-240 RG8X coax cable. The SWR was in the 1.2 range from CH1 to CH40, but the meter didn't have a really high resolution. I received AURSINC NanoVNA from Revain yesterday, so I decided to give it a try! I looked at frequencies that are slightly lower and slightly higher, so the SWR is 1.15 at 26.7MHz and 1.18 at 27.5MHz. This antenna works better than any of my ham radio antennas, but the operating frequency and bandwidth are very narrow in the CB world. Although this antenna is quite large, the build quality and performance are hard to ignore, and no ZERO adjustment is required. Worth noting: President Electronics is a French company and the antenna is made in Spain. As this antenna has a very low SWR I definitely recommend it to anyone who can hear other radio amateurs but not you. With most CB radios limited to 4W and SSB CB to 12W, good cables and antennas really make a difference.
