Review on 🐾 UWS EC20451 34-Inch Heavy-Duty Aluminum Truck Dog Accessory Box with Sturdy RigidCore Lid by Derek Pape

The box arrived damaged, ripped in the corner although that part of the box did not appear to be damaged. Despite the supposedly improved packaging, there are two dents/bumps on the box. (somewhat thin padding, not no). There are dents on the bottom of the box so there shouldn't be any issues. Edit to add: I noticed today that a corner of the lid is damaged. One of the rivets holding the hinge is bent and partially everted, and the cover next to it is bent. I can't tell if the damage is due to the side insertion of the rivet or due to shipping. It seems well done for the most part. Most welds look good. It's of better construction than some of the similar things I own, but it's not as well made as the others. I had the same problem as other reviewers (this one or Revain keeps selling the same one. When I got it I couldn't open it. The keys inside are stuck on the locking mechanism, you can hear them so I thought they might have it stuck. I tried shaking it, holding it in all directions and positions, hoping I could get it out. That wasn't the point. I ended up getting a little rough and was able to get the lid open Obviously something is wrong with the locking mechanism or the Hole pattern not The latch pin/stand that attaches to the lid and engages the latch mechanism is too long The front of the drawer To release, pull forward on the lid and slide the drawer back while lifting .I didn't want to send them back so I did the repair myself I could have cut the front of the box into the box (which I really didn't want to do), shorten the rack or make a new shorter rack with a screw/bolt, which I did lal. BTW, because I wanted to be sure, I didn't want to cut a factory part only to find out that wasn't the problem. Now that I know what it was, I can do it in the future. In any case, this box is TOO expensive, so you have to modify and repair it yourself to use it. The only positive thing is that while playing with it, I found that the box isn't particularly reliable unless it's properly adjusted. (even then I'm not so sure). Opposite side pressure on the box and lid will cause them to unlock if you don't adjust them perfectly. (How long it will be perfectly set I don't know, I might block and block it in the future. I sent an email to UWS customer support on the day that I received them It asks for advice To this day two months later I still haven't received an answer It tells me a lot about the company, I think in the future I will stay away from them 2. All the other reviews are complaining about it problem are gone now.
