Does not work well with shop vacuum cleaner
This hood has the same outer diameter as my powerful shop vacuum cleaner. I had to buy a rubber mount separately to connect the hood to the vacuum cleaner. Then I discovered that this device doesn't literally suck. I suspect it may pick up some dust if hooked up to a more powerful dust extraction system.
- PURPOSE: Collects woodworking and workshop waste and shavings when used with a variety of dust collectors (machines) - Convenient to place behind, under or near areas where dust is generated
