SAVED FROM SEWING MACHINE HELL!

First of all, I got a D in sewing in eighth grade. Over the years (too many years) I have sewn cafe curtains, pillows, and other things that required a straight stitch. I used an old Singer that my mother loaned me. Well, that machine is long gone and I purchased a new machine that I couldn't figure out. Then, another. I attempted to make table skirts for my booth at the farmer's markets. I used a somewhat stretchy material. Disaster! Globs of thread, crooked seams. I didn't know what I was going to do!Then, I found this stuff. A flat table, an old iron, and I had hems and seams! So far, my creations have held together through washing, being stuffed in a bag, being subjected to 100 degree sun for hours at a time. If, like me, you are hopeless at sewing, keep this stuff on hand! I have stockpiled it as part of my domestic goddess survival kit!

Pros
  • Works on most fabrics
Cons
  • It can create a bulky finish
