my laptop cd player broke a month ago and i was thinking of replacing it when i saw this external player! Wow, definitely glad I did. for the price it is perfect! It's very thin, doesn't add bulk and doesn't bother you. I unplug it when I'm done and just keep it in my desk drawer when I need it! It's also a data reader, so you can use it to install other hardware as well. It plays music CDs but not DVD movies, but I didn't need that feature. Very happy with my purchase! Easy installation too!
