Works as expected when processing tomatoes. Next year I will use it for plums and cherries when I find organic produce. I have had a meat grinder in the past and have found it more efficient and easier to clean than a meat grinder. I had this from my mother when I was a young bride, but it was aluminum, which is not suitable for acidic products. It holds at least 4 cups of product. Some reviewers found it difficult to clean, but the only parts that pose a real problem are the rim and bottom. If there is too much in there, I try to wash it in the dishwasher. The only downsides are: 1) The legs of the stand aren't detachable, so it takes up a bit more storage space than detachable legs. 2) The legs are not very far apart allowing limited size pots/bowls to fit underneath. It would be better if the legs were about an inch longer and sloping - as the only pot that fits underneath will have to be emptied when I process the tomatoes. The pot is approximately 7.25 inches wide.
