Review on ๐ŸŽฒ Haxtec Polyhedral RPG Dice Set for Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying by Matt Estrada

Great dice for games and accessories

This is my second time buying dice from Haxtec. My first set were emerald and silver colored metal dice, which can also be seen in the pictures for comparison. I really liked metal dice so I decided to try plastic dice. The first thing that struck me was the brilliant color. I have dice with white turquoise swirls that fade to turquoise and then black forming very nice swirl patterns. And the dice are marked with gold numbers that contrast with the teal white and black tones, making them very easy to read. The fact that the font is larger than the font on the metal dice set. Overall I'm very happy with the look of the cubes. It should be noted how they distinguish between the numbers 9 and 6. Usually they are indicated by a line under the numbers. However, in this set of dice, this is indicated by a dot next to it on some dice. Using context clues, I found that the dot to the right of the number indicates whether it's 9 or 6. However, I find it easier to use a line instead of a point. However, I suspect Haxtec made this design decision to increase the numbers and simply didn't have enough room on the D20 and D12 dice to accommodate the line. It's up to you to decide whether you prefer point or line, but I'd prefer them to be the same throughout the set rather than just having some bones use a line and others a point. This is of course a small detail and does not detract from the excellent quality and design of the dice. Obviously, due to the fact that they're plastic, they weigh significantly less than their metal bones. I find that they are easier to control when rolling because they weigh less. Because metal dice weigh more, they have more momentum when thrown, meaning they roll farther than plastic dice. Again this is a matter of preference, being just a gamer I like the feel of heavy metal bones but I see that Dungeon Masters would probably prefer players to use plastic bones so the bones don't fly around. are nice and smooth in the hand and sound great when you roll them. It's a pleasure to play with them. My final comment on the dice is that some of them appear slightly larger than their metal counterparts. It's a preference whether you like it or not. I personally don't mind. Overall these are great dice and I would recommend them to anyone starting out in Dungeons and Dragons or any other tabletop RPG. Now I have to mention one more thing that is different from metal cubes. This is the bag that the kit comes in. With Metal Dice you get a faux leather bag with a fabric lining. Plastic dice, buy a smaller cloth bag. Feels nice and soft but I think the bag could benefit from an embroidered logo rather than a printed one. However, the bag is nice and comfortably holds all the dice. Overall I think Haxtec offers a great price for their bones. and the bags that come with it and will definitely be a regular customer. Eventually I'm thinking of trying their glow-in-the-dark dice. I'm surprised more people haven't heard of Haxtec because when I told my friends with more experience in Dungeons and Dragons about it, they had never heard of it. Having used their metal and plastic dice I happily recommend this brand to them and to anyone reading this review.
