Bought this for my son for Christmas, we live in Massachusetts so the weather wasn't good enough to ride his bike until this week. He has used it twice and when he put the helmet back down after taking it off he must have put it on "too hard" or dropped it because the plastic piece holding the helmet to his head broke and now the helmet is in place No longer safe . . . Completely contradicts the purpose of the helmet. I can't even imagine what would have happened to him if he had fallen off his bike and the helmet had hit his head on the ground. he would certainly have been broken, and whether his head was protected is unknown. But I wouldn't recommend taking the risk. The helmet must withstand strong impacts and not break. This broke almost without effect. Apparently it's too late to return or refund my money.
