This saves a lot of time when connecting the tractor. However, when first plugged in, none of the lights worked. They all worked with our previous system. After opening the terminals of this connector, the husband found that 2 wires were unconnected and were dangling. Maybe someone at the factory is unhappy or the machine was miscalibrated on the assembly line? Replaced and the light worked. So if your headlights aren't working, it may not be because of how you wired the RV and towed vehicle. We would have sent it back but when troubleshooting it was easier to fix. We have never had a problem with any Blue Ox product.
