Edit - mine wouldn't load if the package was corrupted so I thought it was corrupted. Ordered a replacement and no charge. I feel stupid but it wasn't obvious. The batteries in both devices that I received were factory installed in reverse order. I have no idea why this is the case as I didn't undo it, assuming it could never be an issue since both were sent the same way. It was a problem. If you're having trouble charging, open the back and make sure the black side of the battery is facing you and it says 8bitdo. Not the side of the battery information sticker. Then you can load without problems! Bought because I have a Power A wireless controller and was happy with it, but when I got some Christmas bonus from my dad and I really don't need anything I decided to give this controller a try. Updating on my Windows computer was easy and quick. Connecting to my switch was also easy. The supplied instructions are very clear. The controller has the perfect weight and feel for me. I have a freebie for SNES and PS1 so this Ctronoller is clearly a mix of those. This works incredibly well for me. The buttons have a good click. There is no mush on the Abyx buttons. The d-pad isn't as clicky as I'd like, but it's not soft either. You just have to get used to it, but it feels good. Played Super Meat Boy with him and he does very well with it. Both joysticks are great, but I haven't used the real one yet. Although I played Hades and the left stick is perfect. Battery life seems great, but I haven't pushed it to the limit. I also have rechargeable batteries so I'm not too paranoid about the battery. I can't wake up the switch with the controller, but it puts it to sleep and automatically reconnects after my first connection as per the instructions. I like this controller so far. The feeling is pretty heavy. Solid and feels nostalgic and practical. Highly recommend if you're already watching. The icing on the cake is the extra hardware it supports!
