There seem to be several positions on this page. I examine the black lid of the cage. We originally bought this blanket to keep our ferret warm on cold nights. This is really a great cover. It fits perfectly with this cage. You can set it up to only cover the top layer. But the real value of this suitcase came after our little ferret died and we put our rescued chinchilla in this cage. Chinchillas need dust baths to stay healthy and that dust is everywhere! This cover didn't let dust fly in all directions. While we still made sure that at least the front panel was open so she could see a bit of the sides, we were able to minimize dust emissions from the back of the cage and the sides. Cleaning is now much easier! But seriously, everything around us within a two-meter radius no longer gathers dust. We also have guards controlling others. We have been using them for many years. They are awkward to use but keep the bedding in place which is extremely important when handling a chinchilla in this ferret cage as chinchillas are not potty trainable and therefore require a layer of bedding at the bottom of the cage. Her cage (both levels) is like that of a hamster. I would give this 3 stars. It's better than nothing, but they're very hard to work with. And they're not perfect.
