I work in the ER. When I work at the fire department, I have a spacious, ornate jump bag that the station gives me. Outside of work, however, I am on my own. This bag is perfect for taking with me in the car, when I'm staying with friends and family and of course when my younger and more reckless friends invite me to college parties. Most reviews complain about how small the bag is. However, this is exactly the size stated in the product description. If you have trouble reading the product description, it's just under a foot wide. It has an adjustable divider in the middle compartment (attached with Velcro) to better adapt to each person's organization methods. To give you an accurate estimate of capacity, I list everything that fits comfortably in my bag. Left side compartment: - ample supply of nitrile gloves Right side compartment: - trauma scissors - mini notebook + pen for impromptu patient assessment, writing and Hx - pen - flashlight - aspirin - small bottle of hydrogen peroxide - several packets of ketchup (great substitute for oral glucose in a pinch for individuals with low blood sugar!) Center Compartment: - Alcohol swabs x 6 - Antiseptic wipes x 5 - Lidocaine bug bite wipes x 3 - Burn ointment - Antibiotic ointment - Cotton swabs and cotton balls - 4x4 gauze pads x 2-2x2 Gauze pads x 5-3" rolled gauze x 2 Eye pads x 2 - many different bandages - 1" duct tape - 2" self-adhesive bandage (honestly my favorite in my bag) - instant cold compress tongue depressors - adult CPR pocket mask - pediatric CPR pocket mask - 6 different advanced oropharyngeal airways. This may be a tedious list to read, but I hope it gives good guidance to a future potential buyer ment of the storage possibilities of this bag. I grew up playing Tetris, so I've more or less mastered the art of fitting as many things into a small space as possible. The only downside I found is that I really wish there was a shoulder strap. It doesn't matter though as I have a lot of extra straps from old computer bags. All of my emergency gear, including this bag, only cost me $60. I'm seriously considering buying another one to stock up on and keep as a backup. Good product!
