Review on 🌊 Enhance Your Marine System with the Jecod/Jebao DCT Marine Controllable Water Pump by Jenny Smith

I replaced my Tunze pump with these. It's very quiet. My Vortex MP10W is louder than his. It's also a powerful pump for my new tank Red Sea Reefer 170. 80% power is more than enough. Please note that a DC pump is different from an AC pump. The DC pump slowly increases the speed. I like this because after every water change there isn't suddenly too much water filling the tank. Now I'll see how long that lasts. My Tunze lasted three years and still works, but cost me $180, with less power and a lot louder. The time will show. Will be updated after 6 months of use. Update 03/26/2016: Doesn't work anymore after 6 months. I also thought. It happened at midnight. I quickly pulled out and replaced the old Tunze to keep the tank going. Frustrated and disappointed with yet another unreliable product from China! Update 03/27/2016: When I was cleaning the Jebao I found an old manual that came with the pump. Then I noticed that the control panel gave an error code depending on the lighting. Then I found that my impeller was stuck due to heavy calcification! after dipping in vinegar and thorough cleaning it works again! So I have to give five stars again! a simple pump with exceptional value and performance. You don't need a Vortech DC pump for Wi-Fi functionality, you only need this pump as it's also very quiet. February 15, 2017 update This is a really quiet pump. Again, my DC skimmer pump and Cobalt 1200 make more noise than these. I have to moisten with vinegar from time to time because the calcification blocks the propeller. At this price and performance I will buy another one as a spare between regular cleanings. Update 09/25/2017: No problem. After adjusting the size of my sea aquarium, I've hardly had to soak it in vinegar since February (my last update). Still very calm. I am about to buy another Jebao DC pump. For the price this is really what you need! Update 06/30/2020: This pump is still in operation. It's still a very quiet pump. I bought a newer version of the DCT pump as a backup. Despite the fact that many people write that "Made in China" products are unreliable, this is not my case (I was lucky). For the price I can buy a backup pump that most seasoned fridges recommend. If you're still thinking about buying it, don't hesitate, you won't regret it. However, you may regret spending 3-5 times or more on well-known brands that work the same way, but your money is in the quagmire. There are currently newer versions of Jebao pumps.
