Does its job well: salad servers and spinner

Used for the first time yesterday. This version of the salad spinner doesn't have a spinning rope like the original. To do this, you pull the rope quickly, like a movement to start small engines. The original method is obsolete. This newer version allows the user to squeeze the lever multiple times to start and build some momentum to keep the screen basket spinning. You can just let this spinning basket run out of power or press the green button to stop it at any time. If you prefer to have the basket rotate backwards. you can do it too This works as it should. It's 5 stars. However, my opinion on the salad spinner needs a little explanation. I washed and tore up the lettuce with butter and then unwrapped it. Most of the water had drained away, but the water was still on the upturned "cups" on the surface of the various pieces of lettuce. I also washed, ripped and tossed the romaine lettuce. I had the same. Finally, I sorted the small lettuce piece by piece and washed it in a green removable spin basket. I drained the water and most of the water was removed. After all of this, I realized that the amount of water removed compared to the amount of water remaining STILL made me want to place the lettuce on a towel and blot out the remaining water before using it in the lettuce. Most of the water has separated. That's a very nice plus. This is an improvement over the amount of water I would have had to remove from the leaves. I have found that the easiest way to do this is to shake whole leaves and rub them with a thin towel. The final step is to lay out mostly lettuce leaves on a fluffy towel to soak up the remaining water. Once the leaves are mostly dry, I tear them up and toss them in the salad. Step. Final verdict? Recommendation? A) Works as advertised. If that's what you're looking for, this is a good option. B) Although it works well, I think I won't be using it in the future because the difference in my own efforts was minimal.
