Wrap one over the changing pad, place a waterproof pad on top, and then place the second on top of the other waterproof pad. If the top one gets dirty, simply remove it and the pad is already mounted with the second one. A thicker fabric may not be able to accommodate this "parenting trick" that saves so much nerve and energy, especially for getting dressed at night.
