Great quality!

I wrote a review earlier saying they are good, but Sakura's "Specialist" line is better. He's not better, just different. If you've used regular pastels and are new to oil pastels (like I was when I wrote my original review) then these soft dry pastels are as close to good quality as you can get. There are others that look like soft, dry pastels, like Holbein and Van Gogh, but they are too dry, making it difficult to get a rich finish. The specialist is square in shape, so it looks more like a square dry pastel. Each has its own use and I recommend buying both if you can afford it plus some oily sennelliers for the finishing touch. (Available in one color from sites like Dick Blick). The colors of the Expressiont and Specialist lines are similar and both can be used to cover and touch up large areas, but a square is more beneficial for thin lines and sharp edges. I highly recommend both colors! The colors of the Expressionist and Specialist lines are very similar. If you're going from dry to oil pastels, start out with the kind you're used to, square or round, but you'll eventually find both useful - square, especially for thin lines and hard edges.
