Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV 255/50 R19 107R winter by Wiktor Grzankowski ᠌

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

Has pros: I purchased it on a 2022 VW Tiguan (4x4). Operating experience - 1 season. The declared characteristics generally correspond to the product description, which can be "gleaned" from the manufacturer's website and various tests. The car drives confidently in a straight line. Quick and confident start from any surface. City - highway - everything is clear and predictable. Sufficiently economical in terms of fuel consumption ("winter" - an average of 11.5 liters to 13.0 liters, depending on the driving style and engine "warm-ups"). I’m sure that it’s more economical than regular summer “Korean” tires (Hankook), but I can’t compare objectively, because of the winter warm-ups of the engine. Let's see how many seasons it lasts. I had experience operating Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 and 8 on front-wheel drive cars The previous Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 was enough for me for 6 seasons. I rate my driving style as "average". I drove confidently for 5 seasons, season 6 "rolled" carefully - according to subjective feelings, 50 to 60 percent of all spikes remained - then take risks Mileage per season - 7 - 8 thousand km, mode - city - highway. Got cons: Due to the experience of the previous operation of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta, the main "sore points" of these tires are driving in "steep" turns and driving in a "mess". If the expected turn is from 30 degrees or more, then I strongly recommend to reduce the speed in advance, otherwise - the demolition of the axis and "hello". Accuracy is also needed when driving in the "porridge", and, if necessary, in the "puddle". Due to the “instability of the coating”, the car can behave unpredictably - slow down sharply or accelerate sharply, and not only when moving forward and backward, but also left and right. Driving in these conditions is clearly not the "horse" of these tires, therefore, be careful and use the lowest possible speed!
