Uncomfortable for long-term use

I bought this to wear to work (so most of the day except during breaks) and although I was satisfied when I first put it on I soon noticed that it my right ear was sick. I tried adjusting the position on my ear but that didn't help. The same thing happened the next day so I sent them back. I liked the sound controls and people listening to my sound heard me fine and didn't hear as much background noise. My ears are a normal size so I'm not sure why it hurt my right ear (and didn't hurt my left ear where the mic was).
