We love spending time on the patio, but mosquitoes have always been a problem. So I turned to Revane for help. I really wanted something portable and solar powered as we live in Texas and have no shortage of bright, mind-numbing sunlight. It seemed like a dream come true. As soon as it arrived I carefully put it outside and moved it around all day following the sun and when it finally got dark I excitedly turned it on and watched with glee, waiting for the crackling to begin. And waited. And waited some more. Five minutes later he was dead and with him my hopes. In desperation, I decided to charge it internally because I didn't want to wait and there really weren't any other non-chemicals. So I opened it up again the next evening and was happy to see that it worked and clicked happily. The problem is solved! Or so I thought. Every morning I would take this stupid brush and spend a good ten minutes moving over the slats to sweep the bodies away. Annoying, but worth it as long as it does its dirty work. Four weeks later he's not catching anything and I can guarantee it's not because there are no more bugs. So four weeks for forty dollars. Not the best buy ever. So, to sum it up, solar capacity sucks. Cleaning is a little tedious. (Rather than cleaning through the slats, why didn't they just remove the outer shell so the grille is open for easy access?) And obviously, four weeks of work is its limit.
