I purchased these shoes for my recent trip to Big Bend National Park with the intention of only wearing them while canoeing. After all, I wore them all day while I was there. Pros: Excellent breathability, fantastic grip on rock/gravel/sand/field terrain/trails, meets quick drying requirements. Cons: The breathability also means your feet will be cold without socks. Not enough ankle support to replace my hiking boots on serious multi-day hikes (they would be fine for day hikes). I am concerned that the top mesh is not strong enough against toenail scuffs. I will buy again.
