Review on Petzilla In-Tank Fish Tank Breeder Box - Aquarium Breeding Incubator for Small Fish Hatchery, Acrylic Divider for Shrimp, Clownfish, Aggressive & Injured Fish by Misty Gomez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It is built for breeding big fish and raising juvenile fish.

Designed for big fish and fry, not smaller ones. I used this on my pregnant ghost shrimp and unfortunately lost most of the fry through the vents (I saw one of these swim to its death). I had to use plastic wrap to gently create a barrier and managed to salvage a frying pan. and yes, I have a small breeding box. The vents may be too big for certain roasts, so the buyer needs to be careful. Update: My neon black tetras were swimming wildly in my tank and I recognized the signs so I put my pregnant female in this box and then the most active male chasing her and wanting to enter got his wish. Within minutes of acclimatization, they rubbed against each other and the female laid many eggs. But on the other hand the VENTILATION is TOO BIG! Most of the eggs escaped through the vents, and the eagerly waiting tetras were well fed. A few eggs survived that didn't fall through the vent, but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND anyone else to get something other than this junk. I'm pretty sure the young ones won't stay here long because they'll be swimming out the vents like my ghost shrimp.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
