Bad potato masher design

that I liked about the Oxo Good Grips line. I have several of their tools in my kitchen. And the idea of this press is good. The horizontal handle is comfortable and allows you to easily apply more force to grind food than with the more typical vertical handle design. But that's also the biggest design flaw. Anyone of reasonable strength can easily apply enough force to bend the pusher at its weakest points. This is a product design flaw. You understand that in the construction industry. Just look at wall braces or wall panels. You need something to withstand the lateral forces or the product will collapse. I believe there are several ways to salvage the design of this product, mainly by bending the metal to keep it from warping. And until they remake it with some of these features, I don't recommend buying this pusher.
