Over time the mic failed as did the wiring

Over time they stopped working due to the brittle cold causing the wiring to start to deteriorate the manufacturing process on them was changed my only suggestion is skirts add to the ends. Wires so they don't hang around too much and maybe use a tackier adhesive. My situation was very bad as my dash went all the way under the front leg area, I couldn't get it to stick to the plastic.
