Review on Winegard Company RK 4000 Playmaker Mount by Sean Sheppard

Installing the Winegard Satellite Mount Kit is very easy. Simply attach the center screw to the satellite base, place it on the surface you wish to mount it on and mark the location of the retaining screws. Remove the satellite and drill an appropriately sized hole in the marked area. I would suggest using butyl putty between the brackets and the (roof) surface to waterproof the drilled holes. This putty tape is commonly used in residential homes and is purchased in rolls; Do not use silicone sealant as you will never be able to remove the fasteners in the future. The mounts are well designed but overpriced for what they are. It would be nice to have a quicker way to "unclip" the satellite from its mounts for terrestrial use when mounted on a camper van roof. Otherwise, these mounts allow the satellite to be removed periodically without breaking the watertight seal. My attached photos show before and after installing the kit; look at the floor bolts.
