I have used these to pump my breast milk and they have been great. I usually pump 1-2 oz and that's fine because each section holds 1 oz. We'll just take as many ounces as we need for that bottle since baby drinks different amounts at different times of the day. Because it's made of silicone, it's very thin. I just pour the milk on the counter by the freezer so I have less time to carry it lol. The lid is pretty decent but if you overstuff the sections it will freeze on the lid so keep that in mind! (This isn't a deal breaker for us.) You can definitely grab a tray from a dollar tree or something to hold it or something! We bought reusable ziplock grocery bags and I just drop the required amount in and run them under warm water. . Defrost and heat up in seconds! Warning Do not try to fill it halfway. The sticks will not be strong enough to pop out all the way and they will break. I learned this the hard way and if you plan on using it like we did it won't work unless you mind keeping broken sticks but my obsessive compulsive syndrome won't let me too i guess lol
