I love this little vacuum cleaner. To this day I would give it 5 stars without hesitation. It's great for removing hair from a white tile bathroom floor, teaching my 4 year old to clean up behind him (recommended accessory: Babybandz headphones) and chasing spiders (recommended accessory: Black Diamond headlamp). It's been working for 2 years, but yesterday it started turning off during cleaning due to low charge. I only used it for about 30 seconds a few days because the batteries are tired and need to be replaced. So I hop onto the internet to order a replacement battery. and apparently not. I just took it apart to see if I could figure out how to make some sort of replacement, but other than taking out the old batteries and soldering in new ones (really out of my reach lol) it looks like like I'm out of luck. The batteries are also attached to the board, making it even more intimidating and impossible for the uninitiated. Look at the picture. Seriously Black & Decker? I have to throw away a great vacuum because you can't make the battery replaceable? Not cool. Not for my wallet, but more importantly, not for our country.
