Revainrating 5 out of 5

A reliable board for most people

So when I was trying to find something to do during quarantine and wished I had a decent board for a while, I decided to pull the trigger on this one . Overall this is a solid board. I put 5 for functionality and cost. (Probably give it a 4.5 overall, but they won't let you, and there's nothing wrong with that.) I'll run through the pros, cons, and some other thoughts to help people decide if this board is for you . , it has almost everything you can expect, a large selection of games, the ability to set certain parameters (doubles in single output, etc.), and I did not notice anything, dead zones or darts were not registered. As for the bounce, which I think people complain about on a lot of boards, I'll put it this way: soft tip boards are as much about your tips as they are about the board itself. So this board fits the standard tips that come with it, but more importantly, when shopping for tips, go for the Vipers 2BA Tufflex II tips. Those based on a thinner tip diameter work very well with this board. I have yet to recover with these or those who came along. The sweet spot is similar to the Wolftop 2BA double dimple tips which are not as good as the Tufflex 2 because they are a bit thicker. However, if you opt for the Tufflex III, you will experience some jump. Why? The tips are much/noticeably thicker than the Tufflex II. Simple science, the larger pin goes in the smaller hole. The two sets of darts that come with the kit are also fine. But if you buy such a board I'm assuming you have one or two of your own which are probably a bit heavier. FYI I shoot 18g darts. Pros: Good board with a good selection of games for the price. Easy enough to install to anything you want with the included screws, just make sure it's secure and you're good to go. Good register with no jumping issues - Illuminated markers for cricket score (slash, X and X with a circle along with the score) - Ability to play solo against the computer with 5 difficulty levels - Functionally does the job and worked well for me. Cons: (You're picky most of the time, but should come in handy when you make a decision) - 2 players are shown for scoring goals in cricket and everyone else. So if you have 3 while player 3 is shooting, you can't see where player 1 is and 2 are on the mark or scoring. So let's say you play 4 or 8 with it, of course it's impossible to figure out what matters in tight games. (If I did it again I might have shown one with 4 players at once). So it shows the total score of players 1-4 at the same time, it just shows 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 points depending on who is shooting. And if there are 8 players, then dots 5-8 replace 1-4 from above when you get to those players. Finally, if you play a lot of 3-4 player cricket you might want to check out one of the 4 player simultaneous display models. The sound is a little silly in some ways, calling out "Miss" when you talk while playing cricket and not scoring instead of just being silent. It's even more annoying than anything, and with sound it's all or nothing, so you either turn it off and get nothing, or have to listen to it from time to time. The level of computer skills is a bit silly in some ways. In most games it doesn't matter, but in cricket, for example, the computer's strategy never changes: shoot the bullseye first, then start at 15 and work your way up. There's never been an accident here, no matter what you got into. So when playing cricket against the computer close whatever you want, but against the highest difficulty, be prepared to finish the game in 5 or 6 rounds or lose it (the computer player) will lead the line. and cover what he needs, each time in turn with a round or two variations on shooting singles, deuces, trebles, etc. Then, of course, if you're ahead on the score, he'll become after and only after he's closed everything has, look for the highest open number and click on it to catch up. It's good in the sense that it puts some pressure on the player to be accurate, and of course the levels can be adjusted, but ultimately there's no strategy here, so it's not the same as going against in that regard play a man - No lap counter. -No back button (sounds silly, but if you accidentally jump forward while someone's turn is, you can't roll them back, you can just skip the round for everyone) I know other cons have been listed, but as I said, mostly little things, hopefully helpful for those who like this or others.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Useless features
