This set of bonnet latches is well made but has some dings. However, unless you back them up with a puck, I have a feeling that will become a problem over time. I used a factory nut and washer combo which I removed from the factory latches as they were the same size as the nylock that came with it. (Figure 3) Here is the factory hood latch with a built-in rubber isolator to prevent metal-to-metal contact. bonnet and fenders. I will try to remove this from the factory hood latches and install with new hood latches. If that doesn't work, I'll try to find some kind of adhesive-backed rubber at my local auto parts store. If all that fails I will be returning the hood latches and buying another set of hood and fender isolator hardware. If this bonnet latch kit had provisions for any type of isolator I would definitely give them 5 stars because they are strong and good quality.
