I have these to clean the ridges in the bottom of my cast iron Lodge grill pan that I use to brown meat after sous vide cooking (the only way to keep meat longer to cook ) because the brush just didn't work. Sous vide, quick frying in a pan, is the best of all worlds and cooks meat better than any kebab! In any case, the thing is of high quality, works great and, despite my rather large hands, my hand fits well - an elliptical grip that offers a very secure hold. You'll also frequently grab the blade when you actually get inside. There is also a beautifully crafted S-hook with balls at the ends for hanging. I don't think I've ever seen an S hook so well made. I wish I could find it somewhere else! I hoped and believed that at least one of the slots would fit my pan combs. What I didn't expect is that multiple slots fit and do different things. For example, the protrusions on my frying pan are actually shaped like a truncated pyramid. (Trapezoid) So, a corner slot perfectly scrapes the sides of the risers, and the other, wider, scrapes the bottom of the gutter, the third penetrates the corners very well. I can probably find many more uses for it that I haven't thought of! I bet it will work really well on a BBQ grill too! heh That can take a while depending on the size of your grill, though, so arguably the most important feature is right in the middle of the blade: if you notice, there's a bottle opener. Just make a cold drink or three, and even if it takes a few minutes to clean the grill, you'll be fine. These are simple things, aren't they? I wasn't expecting to say so much about this silly little instrument. But here it is. The truth is stranger than fiction. :)
