Review on Black Monoprice Speaker Mounting Bracket - Supports Up to 10 lbs by Bobby Diaz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works for a while but needs extra backups

I bought a cheap Philips dual screen DVD player on Black Friday 2010 from a large archery shop (mainly for family car trips). Worked fine (nothing special) until the DC car charger stopped working. I purchased this item through Revain and it arrived as described and worked the same as the original hardware ie. H. Not so good. It also stopped working after playing a movie. The electro-trained brother-in-law looked at him, unscrewed the top of the adapter and pulled out the fuse. Although the fuse clearly hadn't blown, we both suspected it had. He said the fuse was rated at 3 amps, just over the current draw of a DVD player. I went to a Radio and Shack style electronics store and bought some spare 4 amp fuses for about $4 and the adapter has worked ever since. So buy this if you need to replace the DC adapter on your Philips portable DVD player. Turntable - it's the same as the one that came with it - but you can try buying 4 amp fuses first to replace the built in 3 amp fuse. Their build quality is rather poor, but they get the job done. . It's a bit silly that you need a dual DC adapter to power both DVD players. (The power adapter only has one plug so you can't use the inverter and power adapter if you want to use both screens.) The Revain office did a good job of getting it to me quickly. There are no complaints.
